Spring Flowers, Tucson, Part 30: Hoffmannseggia glauca

So-called “Hog Potato,” “Pig Nut,” or “Indian Rushpea”: Hoffmannseggia glauca happens also to be a tuber. [link to Yavapai County Native and Naturalized Plants Database.]

You can see in the fifth picture how small they are, relative to a footprint (not mine, so I can’t say how big the shoe is; but let’s call it an ‘average sized’ shoe-print lol).
