1) A judge denied the University’s request for an injunction. Here’s a report from Michigan Radio. Will this force the University to recognize the necessity of good-faith negotiating? We’ll see. I’m hearing rumors of actions suggesting that bad-faith is still the name of the game (eg, telling department heads to plan for the strike to be going on through the end of the semester, which if true would suggest of course that there is no interest in bargaining; I hope that is not true, but it is entirely expectable).
